The waste Drop Zones are conveniently located at Pharmacies across Ontario, the public is able to identify which Pharmacies are participating in the Orange Drop returns sharps and medication disposal program by the "Make the drop" signage at the storefront and the pharmacy. 

Stewardship Ontario & Orange Drop Program 

Stewardship Ontario's goal is to help create sustainable communities. We have always been dedicated to reducing the amount of waste that goes to landfill and we make this a reality through our Blue Box and MHSW (Orange Drop) recycling programs in partnership with our stewards, service providers and the public.

Orange Drop is Stewardship Ontario's NEW program designed to help recycle the municipal household hazardous and special waste materials that need extra care when they've reached the end of their useful lives. We work through a network of municipal recycling facilities, collection events and retail partners to provide consumers with access. Pharmaceuticals, sharps and syringes are NOW included in this program
