We recommend all medical waste including any items saturated with blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM), such as bandages, gauze, PPE, patient bibs, or collection bags, be disposed of in yellow bags, placed in marked containers, and stored for pickup.

We recommend any sharps waste contaminated with animal blood or tissue, such as needles or scalpels, be disposed of in a designated sharps container to reduce needlestick injuries and keep employees safe.
